This is a vintage black and white photograph of four Babylonian demon heads, presented as Plate II. The heads are sculpted from stone and are displayed on small rectangular bases. Each head is unique in its features, but they all share a somewhat grotesque and unsettling appearance. The first head (labeled 91875) is relatively intact, with a broad nose and a stern expression. The second head (91874) is more stylized, with a prominent nose and a furrowed brow. The third head (91873) is heavily damaged, with only fragments of the face remaining. The fourth head (91876) is the most detailed, with a full beard and a complex network of wrinkles and lines etched into the face. The overall impression is one of ancient power and mystery.
